Who is behind Concept-Lingo?

My name is Henriette Fischer Hansen; I have worked as a freelance translator since the beginning of 2009. I love challenges and bring a pride into delivering a professional work in high quality, at the agreed deadline so that you as a customer are satisfied.

I have always travelled a lot; having lived in both USA and Ireland has made be fluent in English. My knowledge of English covers both ”English - English” and ”American - English”, there are some differences in the nuances of the language as well as in the way words are spelled, so if you wish your translation should be more towards e.g. the American market? Then I can help you with this.

I have never been afraid to try something new, which also shows in my choice of employer during the years. I have several times worked for Carnival Cruise Lines, I was working for them in the casino department in the capacity as both dealer, supervisor, manager and head cashier, these different positions has increased my knowledge about business English, since I was doing both daily and weekly reports and accounts to the head office.

I have – in between – worked for Casino Austria International as a dealer, all communication between guests and staff was in Danish, English or German.

I was working for IBM - when living in Ireland - where I supported Danish business clients’ primarily on phone and in Danish, but there were also support in other Scandinavian languages. I later joined Full Tilt Poker; here I supported the clients through e-mail and on the following languages: Scandinavian, German and English, there were sometimes also telephone support in English. I also had duties as team leader where I e.g. was responsible for the daily reports to the management, the job also involved different translations, mainly English – Danish, but I also did translations in other language combinations.
